As noted by others here. I have already imported the cad into a 3ds Max file. You can either just open the file and start working, or you can merge it into your scene. Make sure to download a version earlier or equal to the version you are using. 2018 file version will work with Max 2020 or newer even.
Hi all. Instead of importing the CAD file it looks like Adam Z set it up as a 3ds max scene file that needs to be merged into your scene instead of imported. Hope this helps.
That's a good question. Does the geometry show in your Scene Explorer or Layer Explorer? If so, have you attempted to select all (Ctrl+A)? If you've done those things are you able to share a screenshot?
