Dramatic Exterior Lighting With HDRI in V-Ray

I have just added a new project to my original PRO course, 3ds Max + V-Ray: 3ds Max PRO in 6 Hrs. If you are already a member of that course, go check it out and download the models. If you are not a member of that course, go to my pro courses page and join up for super cheap!

Here is one preview lecture from the new project:

YouTube Description:

"This project is all about taking existing models, which you will get if you join the course, then turning them into a nice rendering, so it focuses on exterior lighting (materials are already "done"), camera setup and composition, rendering settings and post-processing in Photoshop. It goes through everything you need to know as an architectural visualization specialist, except for the modeling part.

This particular tutorial is kind of a bonus at the end of the project. Once the project is done, I use this lecture to show how we could have gotten much different results, simply by adjusting our HDRI settings. You will see in the video how much power you have to control the lighting, and get dramatic effects, simply by adjusting your HDRI. You can get your own HDRI like the one shown in the course if you go to http://noemotionhdrs.net/ In this lecture we use the V-Ray Dome light from V-Ray next to get our effects. We also make use of the V-Ray frame buffer exposure settings and the V-Ray light lister. The V-Rat HDRI map is also used, and we look at its intensity multiplier setting, horizontal rotation, and inverse gamma settings.

Software used:

Autodesk 3ds Max 2018

V-Ray Next"
